Windshield Replacement Options For Road King, Softail, Dyna, and Sportster

Along with clear and translucent color options, motorcycle windshields are also available in different shapes and sizes.
If yours is scratchy, cloudy, and weathered, or if you just want to get a different size or color, here are some of the best selling replacement screens for Softails, Springers, Road Kings, Dyna, and Sportster models.

Softail and Wide Glide Windscreens
For 1984 through 2010 Harley FX Softail and Wide Glide models, Memphis Shades OEM replacement windshields are offered in 15", 17", and 19" heights. Width is 19-1/2".
Tint choices are clear and solar.
King-Size Windscreen
King Size Replacement Windshield for 1990-2017 Softails has a width of 23", with height options of 15", 17," 19", and 21".
Tint choices are clear and solar.
Memphis Fats
Featuring a 22" width for best wind protection, Memphis Fats windshields can be had in seven translucent gradient colors, as well as clear and solar tint. Available in seven heights from 13" to 21".

Proper Height and Why It Matters
Proper windshield height reduces buffeting. It pushes clean air over the top of your helmet instead of creating turbulence at eye level.
Ideally, the top of the shield should be about even with the tip of your nose, allowing you to look an inch or two over it.
Too High - May add more comfort, but you won't like looking through it all the time.
Too Low - Gives your bike a cleaner look, but increases turbulence.

Road King Windscreens
For 1994 through 2025 Harley Road King models, Memphis Shades OEM replacement windshields are offered in clear, dark black smoke, black smoke, and solar.
Height options are 15", 17", 19", and 21".
Width is 23".
NOTE: The windscreen on my 2005 Road King Custom is a 19". I'm six-feet tall. It comes up to my chin, so I could probably use the taller 21", but it's been fine.

Replacement Windshields for Harley Sportster and Dyna include 1984-1994 FXR, 1999-2000 FXR, 1991-2005 FXD, 1988-2021 XL models.

Notes and Misc
All Memphis Shade replacement windscreens are made of Lucite and proudly made in USA.
Most replacement screens come with new rubber grommets but do not include mounting hardware. Install with existing hardware.
TIP: When reinstalling, do not over-tighten the bolts, as you will risk cracking the new screen.
The windshield on my bike is a quick-detach. It easily removes for short trips, but generally my rides are an hour or longer, so it stays on 95% of the time. Got caught in the rain once last year, and I was glad it was on!
The more you ride, the more you appreciate a windshield!
